Naturopathic Doctor (she/her/hers)

Hello! I’m Dr. May and I REALLY love being a Naturopathic Doctor!

Like many, I was drawn to naturopathic medicine when searching for solutions to questions that conventional medicine just didn’t seem to be able to answer.

Growing up I was surrounded by family members who worked in medicine and watching this, I was drawn to becoming a doctor from an early age. It was when I started working at a naturopathic clinic in my hometown of Spokane Washington that I saw the power of combining herbs and nutraceutical therapies with conventional medicine – it was possible for the body to heal and thrive!

From undergrad to medical school here in Portland Oregon, my love of science has only been strengthened through naturopathic medicine. With ongoing research on the use of our tools and modalities, being trained and using such a powerful medicine is nothing short of amazing! We learn more and more about treatment and prevention of disease day by day and incorporating that into care brings me great joy.

I find it to be an incredible blessing to be part of the health and healing journey of people. From kiddos to adults, from gut health to mental health, I enjoy doing a little bit of everything. I have a passion for untangling medical mysteries and getting to the root of a person’s health concerns and with a strong science background, I like data – so various testing and information gathering are often high on my list.

Outside of clinic life, I enjoy spending time with my husband and fur babies (2 very opinionated kitties – a tabby boy & siamese girl), cooking delicious vegan food, and playing board games with my friends.
