Chiropractors specialize in adjusting joints in the body. There are three main chiropractic techniques used in our clinic. Diversified adjusting is the most commonly used technique. The chiropractor positions the patient so that the adjustment will be most comfortable and effective. She then delivers a short quick thrust over a particular joint to restore normal motion and function. Drop Table adjusting uses a special table with articulating pieces. A part of a table is raised 1-2 inches. The doctor then delivers a quick thrust over the joint which drops the raised part of the table back to an even plane. The equipment allows the adjustment to be lower impact to the patient. Impulse Instrument assisted adjusting uses an impulse adjuster machine to deliver a precise and targeted adjustment to a specific joint. Of the adjusting techniques, impulse adjusting is the most gentle.
